Athletic Director &Head Boy's Basketball CoachRyan Kimball

On November 4, 2010 Hopewell Academy announced the appointment of Ryan Kimball as Athletic Director and Head Boy's Basketball coach. Kimball has 20 years of playing and coaching experience at middle school, high school and college levels. Kimball recently moved down from Vermont where he was the Athletic Activities Planner at Champlain College and the Head Boy's Basketball coach at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School. He has also coached very successful AAU teams for the last three years in both Vermont and North Carolina.
Additionally, for the last 3 years he has done a lot of basketball training at various camps through New England and now at Hoops City U here in the triangle.
Kimballs college experience includes being a four year starter at Division II College of St. Joseph where he was named two time rookie of the week in his first year. He also helped guide his team to the National Tournament by winning the Sunrise Conference Championship during his Junior year.
His coaching career started when he built a successful AAU program in his home town called the Bristol Spartans that he coached for two years. He then took the head coaching position at Waldorf High School leading them to one of their best seasons before heading to Cary, NC to coach an AAU team at Hoop City U.
